Hadn’t intended to go to the British Grand Prix, opting for Goodwood FoS instead but after an amazing weekend of Red Bull worshiping HAD to get tickets! (also owed my husband [a McLaren fan] for the hours spent waiting to catch a glimpse of Mark, Christian and Adrian J). Purse strings couldn’t stretch to a weekend ticket so qualifying was from the comfort of our living room. Not all bad with Jake & co for company.  Atmosphere a bit tense. It’s not just my foot that taps nervously... COME ON SEB...YOU CAN DO IT...[ignoring shouts of c’mon  LEWIS]...To the race itself..glorious sunshine, Seb on pole, Mark behind, expectations were high. Sitting in Beckett’s, red lights out..here we go!  Seb runs off into the gravel in front...NO! COME ON!..how much bad luck can one team have. But hey Mark’s in front and easily holding off Lewis’s McLaren. Gap widening lap by lap J, Seb lapped by Mark L. I start to relax, then safety car!! All is well as Mark pulls away from Lewis again. What a car! Nerves settle..Seb starts to move up the pack. I’m one of the few Red Bull fans in a sea of silver, cheering on BOTH our boys. Another safety car!  Amazing overtaking from Seb, just time to leapfrog Sutil, can he do it, yes he can!! Last lap, Mark cruises to victory, Seb snatches some points. Wow what a race, what a track. GO SILVERSTONE. We’ll be back next year no doubt about that.
